Barry M Mint Green vs Chanel Jade Polish

Posted on 18th Oct 2009 @ 12:56 PM

Beauty bloggers the world over have discovered a dupe for a high-end nail polish that won’t cost the earth.
And I think it’s pretty safe to say we all love a good bargain. So, why fork out over £15 for Chanel’s Jade Green Polish (seen on the likes of Lily Allen and Alexa Chung) when you can get near enough the same thing for less than half the price. That’s right, the people at Barry M have done it again – and sales of their version of the Chanel favourite (Barry M Nail Paint Mint Green 304, if you’re wondering) have hit the roof.

And at £2.94 you can’t really complain. I mean, you’d probably struggle to buy your lunch for less than three quid, right?
It’s been recommended by everyone from Marie Claire to www.look.co.uk – and yes, it really is as good as they say.
Launched long before Chanel’s Jade, which was literally all over the autumn catwalk, Barry M’s version has been making some noise in the blogosphere for some time.
One fashion-conscious blogger even reported how she’d been stopped no less than three times in the street by Chanel fans who were convinced her bargain-buy Barry M Polish was the real deal.
If that wasn’t enough, it’s a wearable, versatile shade – it works just as well teamed with a twinset and pearls for girlie granny-chic, as it does with that classic LBD. Barry M have pulled it out of the bag and if this year’s nail war is anything to go by, I doubt they will stop there.
Covering over 50 shades, the Barry M Nail Paint range has a colour to suit every mood, look and occasion.
And it may not be long before, dare I say it, we ditch the designers for good and head straight for the budget brands. Well, it is the credit crunch after all…and all those beauty bloggers can’t be wrong.
For now though, the jade coloured claws are out! Barry M Nail Paint Mint Green is the new (and cheaper) kid on the block.

Green with envy, Chanel? You should be!
